Colour Analysis: How To Tell If You Are A Spring
So are you a spring, darling? Features like your hair colour, eye colour and skin tone indicate which season you are. Here’s how to determine whether you are a Spring beauty:
Hair colour: light, warm colours like honey blonde, creamy blonde or auburn
Eye colour: warm-toned eyes like golden brown or hazel
Skin tone: warm undertones like yellow, gold or peach
Value: low contrast with soft, blended features
For Spring, your natural hair colour is likely to be medium brown or lighter and your eye colour may be on the warmer side with flecks of gold. If your skin has a warm undertone like yellow, gold or peach and your hair has natural warm tones like honey blonde, creamy blonde or auburn red, you are either a Spring or an Autumn. A Spring often has a lower level of contrast to their look than an autumn or winter which means their hair and skin tone are relatively similar.
Tilbury Tip: Spring and Autumn are sister seasons because they are both warmer temperatures. If you are unsure, try wearing lighter and brighter colours like butter yellow, coral and sky blue vs earth tones like mustard yellow, olive green and chocolate brown to see which is more flattering. If the lighter colours make your features pop, it’s likely you are a Spring.
If you have the below features, you’re unlikely to be a Spring:
Hair colour: Medium brown or darker
Eye colour: Icy colours like piercing blue or grey
Skin tone: Cool undertones like pink or red
Value: High contrast looks like dark hair and blue eyes
Does this sound like you, darling? If that’s the case, you might be more of a Summer or Winter.
