Under her leadership, the brand has helped elevate beauty into one of the UK’s most economically powerful creative industries, contributing to an era in which the UK beauty industry was worth £17bn in 2014, and now outperforms sectors such as sport, publishing and recreation in its direct contribution today of £30.4bn to the UK GDP.

The success of her business and leadership skills are underpinned by over three decades of Charlotte’s unparalleled expertise through her 34-year career as a creative visionary and one of the most influential makeup artists of all time, uniquely working across editorial, campaigns, runway, couture and red carpets.

Charlotte’s artistry has shaped the faces of iconic supermodels and celebrities from the 90s to today, with era-defining looks that have set trends and stood the test of time, from runway icons like Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington to cover stars like Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Salma Hayek, Amal Clooney, Celine Dion, Penelope Cruz, J-Lo, Shakira and Kylie Minogue as well as Kendall Jenner, Sienna Miller, Cara Delevingne, Kaia Gerber, plus global royalty and more. Not to mention many men including Elton John and George Clooney.

The breadth of her career spans both couture and fashion shows, up to 40 a season, such as Prada, Miu Miu, Chloé, Lanvin, Tom Ford, Givenchy, Versace and Alexander McQueen to mention just a few, and editorials for the likes of Vogue, LOVE, Pop Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. She has worked on hundreds of Vogue covers and is the only makeup artist to have worked on three simultaneous iconic Vogue September issues – for the US, British and French editions in September 2011. During this time, Charlotte also worked as a creative consultant for Tom Ford, Armani, MAC, Alexander McQueen and Helena Rubinstein, garnering a reputation for leaving a legacy of bestsellers in her wake.

Over the years, she has disrupted and led the industry with her vision to innovate first-to-market to technology including, virtual try-on, virtual consultations, 3D virtual stores, augmented reality tutorials, shade matching, skin analysis and fragrance finder. She does this with her data-led in-house tech team of over 200 experts to ensure she is always ahead of the curve. This tech-first approach has allowed her to unlock true mass personalisation at scale and bring her vision of democratised beauty to life around the world – putting herself, her expertise and her artistry into the pockets of consumers 24/7, around the world.

In 2020, Charlotte led the business through a partnership transaction with Puig, the Spanish luxury group. Charlotte led negotiations ensuring not only valuation success but also protecting brand integrity. Puig’s unique luxury positioning, as the curator of the most-loved premium brands, and their unwavering celebration and support of visionary founders has ensured that Charlotte continues to drive forward her ambition and vision, scaling the brand and reaching new customers with luxury positioning and easy-to-choose, easy-to-use, innovative formulas.

Charlotte’s Magic Change

Alongside her business acumen, purpose is at the heart of everything Charlotte does as part of her mission to empower everyone, everywhere. Philanthropy sits side-by-side with the business and she actively champions several global charities that support people in fulfilling their dreams. She is an ambassador for Women for Women International, the Ambassador for Enterprise for The King’s Trust and a supporter of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. In 2024, she became the first-ever beauty brand and female-founded brand to sponsor F1 Academy™, which supports young female racing drivers, and in 2025 launched her first North American sports sponsorship with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

With over 600 awards won, she was also recognised with an MBE in 2018 for services to the beauty and cosmetics industry by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In 2023, Charlotte was honoured with a Special Recognition Award for her contribution to the fashion industry at The Fashion Awards.
