Dehydration lines are faint, surface-level lines that can appear on your skin when it is lacking moisture. Commonly found around the eyes and on the lips and forehead, dehydration lines are your skin’s response to insufficient water intake. These lines appear on dehydrated skin and are temporary in nature, often disappearing when skin is rehydrated.
Wrinkles are pronounced lines within the skin that commonly appear as we age. Wrinkles are often deeper-rooted than dehydration lines, appearing around the eyes and on the face and creating creases in the skin. Mature skin is prone to developing wrinkles, with signs of ageing setting in and becoming more apparent over time.
When your skin is dehydrated, there is a lack of water in your surface skin cells, causing your skin to lose elasticity and allowing fine dehydration lines to appear. This can be caused by not drinking enough water, consuming high levels of salt, drinking too much alcohol and external elements like weather and seasonal changes.
Wrinkles are a sign of ageing and maturing skin. As you get older, your collagen and elastin levels (which keep skin looking and feeling smooth and supple) break down, causing your skin to lose its elasticity and bounciness and allowing fine lines and wrinkles to appear.
The appearance of wrinkles can also be accelerated by long-term sun exposure and exaggerated facial movements.

The best thing you can do to reduce the appearance of dehydration lines that may appear on your forehead or under your eyes is to drink plenty of water and adjust your skincare routine with deeply hydrating formulas.
Two supercharged skincare ingredients heroed for their hydration properties are hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid. Also known as humectants, these ultra-hydrating skincare ingredients flood your skin with hydration to reduce the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration.
Carrying up to 1000x its weight in water, hyaluronic acid is a sugar substance that’s naturally produced in our bodies. This hydrating ingredient can be found in skincare and makeup products including Charlotte’s Magic Cream, Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum and Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir.

I created my NEW! gel moisturiser, Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream, as a deeply hydrating face cream that floods dehydrated skin with moisture. It drenches like a water cream and instantly revives like a Magic Cream, rehydrating thirsty skin to help reduce the appearance of dehydration lines. This bouncy, ultra-light formula is powered by Waterlocking Fusion Technology™️ and niacinamide to immediately hydrate the skin while helping to strengthen the skin barrier and maintain moisture levels over time. Apply Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream to dehydrated skin and bathe dehydration lines in 100 hours of hydration*.
If you’re experiencing signs of ageing like fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin, reach for supercharged skincare products that are formulated to have youth-boosting effects.
Globally loved by celebrities and supermodels all over the world, my award-winning Charlotte’s Magic Cream is formulated with magical skincare ingredients like hydrating hyaluronic acid and smoothing bionymph peptide to hydrate skin and create a glowing, plumper-looking complexion.
Clinically proven to leave skin looking more youthful, Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir contains REPLEXIUM™, a fusion of two patented peptides that help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Magic Eye Rescue is a potent eye cream that hydrates the eye area for smoother, brighter-looking eyes! The supercharged formula is infused with time-released retinol to smooth and firm the appearance of the delicate skin around your eyes which is prone to developing wrinkles.
Beauty sleep for maturing skin isn’t complete without my luxurious Magic Night Cream. Formulated with retinol to reduce the appearance of fine lines and sun damage, this nourishing night cream firms and plumps the look of skin for a bouncy, dewy-looking complexion by morning.
The best way to prevent the onset of dehydration lines is to stay hydrated – it’s really that simple, darlings! By drinking plenty of water and using hydrating, moisture-boosting skincare products like Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream, you can maintain your skin’s moisture levels and prevent it from experiencing skin dehydration and the lines in the skin that can come along with it.
Preventing wrinkles is slightly more challenging than preventing dehydration lines. My top tips for keeping skin looking youthful are to always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen and using retinol in your skincare routine.
Applying a high-factor sunscreen like Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer with SPF50 helps to protect your skin from harmful UV rays that can accelerate signs of ageing. Sunscreen should be applied daily – even on dark or cloudy days – as a preventative measure that helps protects from sun damage and minimises the onset of wrinkles.
Retinol-infused skincare products will help smooth and firm the look of your skin which in turn will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Products like Magic Eye Rescue and Magic Night Cream are infused with time-released retinol that works to smooth and firm the look of skin over time for optimal results, helping skin to look younger and refreshed overnight.
