HOW TO APPLY EYELINER FOR THE PERFECT, SLEEK WINGED LINER

For a bold, sleek winged eyeliner look, choose The Feline Flick liquid eyeliner pen for precision. This expert eyeliner pen in Panther is the perfect liner for precise application with it’s fine-tipped calligraphy brush and ergonomic rubber handle for ultimate control. Read our step-by-step tutorial below to learn how to apply eyeliner for a sexy, cat-like makeup look!

  1. An open, black-coloured eyeliner pen with its cap next to it.

Step 1: Line the Upper Lash Line

Start your winged eyeliner look by lining the upper lash-line with your The Feline Flick liquid eyeliner, getting as close to the root of the lashes as possible for a seamless look.

  2. Swatch of a black-coloured liquid eyeliner.

Step 2: Flick Outwards to create a Winged Eyeliner

Now that you have your line in place, it’s time to get that hypnotic, winged eyeliner flick! Look straight ahead in the mirror and draw the line as if it were an extension of your lower-lash-line, in an upward direction to lift the eyes and perfect that feline shape.

Top Tip for Winged Liner

To help with this, use a cotton bud and line it up against your eye to make sure you get the perfect angle! If you’re a beginner, Charlotte recommends drawing a small dot where you’d like your wing to end and joining this up to the liner on your lash-line.

How to Apply Eyeliner Pencil for a Simple, Smokey Winged Liner Look

If you prefer a softer, smokey winged eyeliner look for every day, kohl and pencil liners are must-haves for your makeup bag! Charlotte’s eye-defining Rock ‘N’ Kohl eyeliner pencils come in six mesmerising shades, from natural browns to electric purples! Or choose The Classic powder eyeliner pencil, available in black and brown, to add subtle definition to the eyes.

  1. An open kohl liner in a black shade with dark crimson-coloured packaging and its cap next to it.

Step 1: Line the Upper Lash Line

Start by lining the top lash-line with your eyeliner pencil, being sure to smudge close to the lashes so no skin is showing through.

  2. Swatch of a black kohl liner pencil.

Step 2: Flick Outwards to Start your Winged Eyeliner

Wing out in an upward direction, as before. As we’re going for a smokey look, this doesn’t have to be precise. Remember to use a cotton bud for extra guidance to get the angle perfect!

  3. An eyeshadow smudging brush in a rose gold and dark crimson colour scheme.

Step 3: Blend Out your Winged Liner with a Brush

Take the Eye Smudger Brush and gently blend the eyeliner, softening and smudging out the edges for a gorgeously sexy, smokey look! Be sure to work quickly, as the Rock ‘N’ Kohl liner will set in place all day after 30 seconds.

  4. An open, jet-black kohl eyeliner pencil with its lid next to it.

    Step 4: Line the Waterline

With Charlotte’s Rock ‘N’ Kohl eyeliner pencil in Eye Cheat, line the bottom waterline to open up the eyes for a wider, brighter eye look.

Top Tip for Winged Liner

To take your winged eyeliner look from desk to dancefloor, apply your eyeliner pencil along the lower lash-line, smudging out the edges for gorgeous sultry eyes.

Practice Makes Perfect

Remember, practise makes perfect when it comes to winged eyeliner. If you make any mistakes, take some of Charlotte’s Magic Cream moisturiser on a cotton bud and gently wipe away any smudges for a seamless result.

Complete The Look

To complete your gorgeous winged eyeliner look, curl your eyelashes with eyelash curlers, holding for 5 seconds. Next, apply lashings of Legendary Lashes Volume 2 mascara to the top and bottom lashes. Add extra mascara to the outer lashes to further elongate the eye and exaggerate the cat-eye look!

Open up the eyes by dusting some powder highlighter, or the Pop shade from your favourite Luxury Eyeshadow Palette on the centre of the eyelid.
