Amber fragrance family
Amber fragrances are usually rich, warm and full-bodied and can smell spicy, herby and dry. Because of their distinctive scent, amber fragrances give off a strong first impression and are usually long-lasting.

Subfamilies of the amber fragrance family include woody amber, amber and soft amber.
Common notes of amber fragrances
Common notes of amber fragrances include orange blossom, vanilla, myrrh, anise, tobacco, spices and amber.

Fragrances belonging to the fresh family are usually characterised as light, bright and clean. Typically, fresh fragrances have citrus and fruity top notes, which are backed by underlying woodsy notes to give the fragrances an energetic character.

Fragrances that fall within the woody family are warm, rich, opulent and seductive with earthy undertones and scent notes like sandalwood and patchouli. Typically, the woody fragrance family is popular for men’s fragrances, however, it’s now become a favourite for women’s and unisex fragrances too.
