How To Create The Ingénue Makeup Look

Charlotte let's you in on how to create The Ingénue makeup look. This low maintenance look is effortlessly fresh, innocent & wide eyed.

  1. A pearly-white face cream in a glass jar with its golden-coloured metallic lid next to it.

    Step 1: Charlotte's Magic Cream

Prepare the skin with Charlotte’s Magic Cream, massaging the product into the skin.

  2. Two face primers, one for medium skin and the other for fair skin, with reflective, gold-coloured lids.

Step 2: Wonderglow & Light Wonder

Next apply Wonderglow for a golden glow. For a more luminous dewy complexion, mix the Wonderglow with your shade of Light Wonder foundation and apply all over the face.

  3. An open concealer with a twist-up end, in rose-gold, metallic packaging with its lid next to it.

    Step 3: The Retoucher

Use The Retoucher on targeted areas, such as redness, blemishes and dark circles, tapping the product on to the skin for a heavier coverage.

  4. An open, mirrored-lid pressed powder compact for fair skin tones.

    Step 4: Airbrush Flawless Finish

Use Airbrush Flawless Finish with the Powder & Sculpt Brush tracing down the t-zone and under the eyes to eliminate any extra shine.

  5. An eyebrow pencil in soft taupe shade with the lid next to it.

    Step 5: Brow Lift

Now you have a flawless base, take your Brow Lift and use the brush end to comb the hairs upwards revealing their natural shape. Then fill in the brows with fine strokes in the direction of the hair growth. To accentuate and lift the arch use the central highlighter across the bottom of the brow.

  6. An open, mirrored-lid duo contour palette for light to medium skin tones in sleek rose-gold-coloured packaging.

Step 6: Filmstar Bronze & Glow

To define your facial framework use the Sculpt shade of Filmstar Bronze & Glow. Use the Bronzer Brush in large circular motions along the cheeks, across the bridge of the nose and on the corners of your forehead – places the sun would naturally hit your face. Dust the product across the chin and underneath the jawline, blending into your neck for a natural glow.

  7. An open, chubby eyeshadow stick in a shimmery champagne shade with its lid next to it.

Step 7: Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds

Apply the Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds, directly from the pencil, over the whole lid taking the colour up to the socket line and along the bottom lash line. Quickly use your finger to blend the colour before the product sets.

  8. An open eyeliner pencil in a soft dark brown colour with its cap next to it.

Step 8: The Classic in Classic Brown

Take The Classic Classic Brown eye liner along the top lash line lifting upwards and outwards on the outer corner of the eye for a soft, subtle flick.

  9. An open, black coloured mascara in dark crimson packaging with its applicator next to it.

    Step 9: Full Fat Lashes

To finish on the eyes use Full Fat Lashes mascara, depositing the product in the root of the lashes to give the eye as much lift as possible. Elongate the eye by using the wand at an angle, dragging the corner lashes outwards. For the bottom lashes, turn the wand vertically and use the tapered end to coat each lash.

  10. A lip liner pencil in a warm pink shade with its lid next to it.

Step 10: Lip Cheat in Pink Venus

Always use a sharpened Lip Liner that will compliment your chosen lipstick shade – here use Lip Cheat in Pink Venus. Look into the mirror and smile, tightening the skin on the lips to see exactly where to apply the pencil. Starting on the outer corners trace the liner just outside the natural lip line. This will help cheat a fuller pout and give perfect symmetry to the lips.

  11. Two lipsticks, with and without lid in a dark coral shade with a warm nude pink lip gloss with its doe-foot applicator next to it.

Step 11: K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Coral Kiss & Lip Lustre in Portobello Girl

To apply K.I.S.S.I.N.G Coral Kiss lipstick you may apply the product straight from the bullet or use the Lip Brush. As the brush is squared off it helps give precision on the outer corners and perfectly angles your cupid’s bow. Use Lip Lustre in Portobello Girl for a glossy sheen to dial up your 3-dimensional pout.

  12. An open, mirrored-lid two-tone blush in warm pink and light peach-pink.

Step 12: Cheek to Chic in Love Glow

Now that you have the perfect lip you can see how far you need to take the blusher to get the Ingénue’s rosy cheek. Swish the Blusher Brush around the outside shade of your Cheek to Chic: Love Glow and apply the colour in big circular motions along the cheekbones. Use the central Pop shade on the apple of the cheek to enhance the colour.
