These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website. All websites have rules like this and these are ours. By using the site, you are agreeing to accept these rules and to use the site only in ways allowed by them.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We use standard precautions to keep any details you give us secure. If we do ever ask you for sensitive information, a padlock icon will appear, to let you know we’re looking after you.

Our full privacy policy, which you can read here, sets out all our rules relating to privacy and you should read them so you are aware of how we deal with this. That policy constitutes part of the rules which, with these Conditions, govern your use of the site.

The site contains content which either belongs to me or to those other people I allow to put material onto the site. That ownership is important to me and to those other people and we are entitled to protect it and to make sure others don’t abuse our rights in and to it.

As such, all intellectual property and other rights in the materials you access on or through the site belong to their owner(s), and just because we allow you to view it and use it as a user on the site does not mean we are giving you any other rights to any of that information over and above that permission.

You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised in this way.

By using the site and accepting these rules, you acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained on this Website is made available to you for your personal, non-commercial, use only. Any other use of material and content of the Website is strictly prohibited. You agree not to copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display or distribute without permission, or commercially exploit or create derivative works or otherwise alter any such material and content nor to help or allow anyone else to do any of these things.

You may not post or copy any of this information to any other site without permission. Obviously you can tell other people about the site (and indeed, I hope you will) but you must not take it upon yourself to copy content from it to other sites or anything like that.

Another thing. As I say, you can use the site for yourself personally, but not for any other reason and certainly not for any commercial reason or connected to any other commercial activity. Nor must you try to use the site to find out about its other users and what they like looking at. Accordingly, use by you of any software or other technology on the site designed to tell you about any of these things is strictly prohibited.

Interaction

Parts of the site are interactive, allowing you to participate in ‘conversations’ with me and my team, or other users, and allowing you to post comments and information to the site. I hope you will do this because it will make the site more interesting, both for us, for our other users and hopefully for you too. I want the site to be a vibrant, living one which is exciting and interesting to people. That said though, as you’d expect, there are some important rules about this too.

Most importantly, you must agree, when posting anything to the site, you will only ever post things you are allowed to post, things that are yours or which you otherwise have full permission to post to the site in the way you do that. You must never post anything that belongs to someone else or which could breach anyone else’s privacy rights or their ownership of anything.

In addition, and again, this is really important to me, when you post comments to the site you must promise you won’t post anything which is untrue or hurtful about anything or anyone. You must also promise not to post anything that is offensive or discriminatory in any way. It also goes without saying that you promise that you won’t ever post anything unlawful to the site or otherwise use or attempt to use the site in an unlawful way.

When you post anything to the site which others can see, they can obviously view and use that in the same way as you too can view and see the rest of the site’s content. In posting information or comment to the site therefore, in addition to everything above as to its being yours to post and accurate, you are also giving us permission to have it on the site for us and for other users to view and use as part of the site content.

You can imagine, these rules are vitally important to me. I want the site to be enjoyed by everyone who uses it but everyone must behave responsibly. Obviously we reserve the right to remove anything from the site that we don’t like the look of or which other users complain about but we also reserve the right to tell other people or authorities about anything we feel we should and to take any other action we are entitled to against anyone who doesn’t comply with these rules.

Sometimes, you might send us information or comment by private mail or email, just to us. We reserve the right, on occasion, to use any such comments in more general notices to users on our site, to let people know what’s been interesting us or others users of the site. In doing so, we might use quotes from what you send us or summarise things you say or send us. If we do this, unless we specifically get your permission to name you, we would only ever do so on an anonymised basis, in a way which cannot attribute the comments back to you personally and by accepting these terms, you permit us to so this.

I know this looks boring but I have to have it to protect myself, and it’s important for you to read and understand these bits too.

Limitation On Liability

Whilst we will do what we can (within reason!) to make sure the information we place on the site is accurate, we don’t guarantee that and you should not place any reliance on it or use or quote it as true and accurate without checking everything out for yourself first. We can’t and won’t be responsible if you rely on anything on the site and use it in any way. It’s down to you to do this, but rememberyou can’t be using it for anything commercial anyway.

The same goes as well for anything anyone else puts up on to the site or comments they make. Just because it’s on the site does not mean anything has been approved or is endorsed by me in any way or that its true and again.We can’t and won’t be responsible in any way if you rely on anything like this either;you have to check it all out for yourself. Whilst everyone who uses the site is subject to the same rules and so all promise to me (and therefore to each other indirectly) that whatever they say or put on the site is true and is theirs to post to the site, even so, you cannot and should not rely on that and have to be responsible for how you use it or rely on it in the future, and make sure you check it all out for yourself first before doing so. We are not responsible to you for that.

Another thing, and again while we do what we can within reason to guard against things, we can’t guarantee that the site or anything on it or the server that makes it available to you are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy or reliability of the materials. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material of or as a result of anything uploaded or transmitted through the site.

If any part of these Conditions shall be deemed to be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be severable from the rest of these Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions of these Conditions.

Just because you breach something in these rules and we don’t act upon it immediately does not mean we have excused that breach or that we may not act on that breach later. That remains true whether you are able to carry on using the site even after you have breached its rules. We reserve the right to act on a breach at any time.

These conditions (as amended and altered from time to time) and our Privacy Policy and our Cookies Policy contain the entire agreement between you and us relating to your use of the site.

The Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
